Replacement of a Diplomatic Vehicle (a Private Car)

Procedure of Approval

The person in charge receives the application document and reports to the Vehicles Management House of the Provincial Public Security Department for check and approval without delay.

Documents for

Application

1. Fill in the Application of Business Operation and the Letter of Guarantee (Provided by the Customs Declaration Department);

2. Inspection documents of a new vehicle issued by Hong Kong China Inspection Company;

3.  One Original and two photocopies of the document of the Hong Kong Vehicles Registration and the document of Business Registration;

4.  The original of the domestic driving license for the original vehicle;

5.  The original Notification Letter of Approval, a joint document by the undertaking units in the Mainland;

6.         6 pictures of the new vehicle (taken from the left front 45^o、88mm×60mm)

7.  One original and two copies of the Contact List of Guangdong and Hong Kong Vehicles Leaving the Territory issued by the Customs;     

Attention

1．If the vehicle owner’s name listed in Hong Kong Vehicles Registration Document is not in compliance with that listed in Hong Kong Business Registration Document, you must provide the original and photocopy of the Application Form for a Whole Year’s Operation or Registration Application Form for an Individual’s Business Operation in Hong Kong.

2． Starting from December 1, 2003, a new vehicle that “changes the old one but the license code” will continues using the code of the old vehicle in the mainland. To complete the formality of this service, it is not necessary to hand back the iron license plate.
