KYOCERA CORPORATION

        Kyocera Corporation is a top 500 enterprise specializing in the development and manufacturing of such products as precision ceramic components, optical instruments, and telecommunication equipment. It is one of the earliest foreign-invested enterprises to develop friendly cooperation with Dongguan.

        Founded in 1987, the Yoe Long Universal Optical Industry is the first enterprise invested by Kyocera in Dongguan and the first Japanese-invested material-processing enterprise in Shilong Town. More than a decade has passed and witnessed promising development of Kyocera in Dongguan, which is marked by increase in investment and expansion of production into various fields. In July 1996, Donguan Shilong Kyocera Optics Co. Ltd. was established, which is mainly engaged in the manufacturing of YASHICA advanced camera and miscellaneous components. In 1999, the digital copying machine of Kyocera Mita Office Equipment (Dongguan) Co. Ltd., a product of ultramodern digital technology, was successfully launched, which marked a new stage of the cooperation between Dongguan and Kyocera. The new millennium has witnessed broader cooperation between Kyocera and Dongguan in digital information, optics, and production environment. Up to the present, Kyocera has invested more than USD 100 million in its six enterprises in Dongguan.
